We've set aside rooms in the ten hotels closest to the Convention Center offering a variety of price points and amenities but all offering comfort, convenience and close proximity to the convention center.

A link to book your hotel room at the conference rate will be included in your registration confirmation screen and email. You will need to register for the conference before booking your hotel room.

Booking Your Hotel
When will the hotel block open and close?
The official hotel block will be available for booking during the dates communicated on the event website. We encourage you to book early, as rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
How do I book within the official room block?
Reservations should be made through the official housing partner, Orchid Events. A booking link will be provided in registration confirmations.
What if the hotel block sells out?
Once the block is full, additional rooms and rates are subject to hotel availability and may be offered at higher, non-discounted rates.
Can I book outside the block?
Salvation Army officers and staff should book within the official block. We recommend all attendees book within the official block to receive the negotiated group rate and to stay close to other attendees.
Rates, Payment & Fees
What is the nightly room rate?
Room rates vary by hotel and room type and are listed on the housing booking site. Applicable taxes and fees will be displayed at the time of booking.
Is a deposit required?
A valid credit card is required to secure your reservation. Deposit and payment policies are set by the hotel and will be outlined during the booking process.
When will I be charged?
Charging policies vary by hotel but are typically applied closer to your arrival date or at check-in.
Changes & Cancellations
How do I make changes to my hotel reservation?
You can update your reservation in one of the following ways:
When to contact Orchid Events vs. the hotel:
  • Before April 6, 2027: Contact Orchid Events using the options above
  • On or after April 6, 2027: Contact your hotel directly
Important: Some hotels may begin managing reservations earlier (as early as March 22, 2027). If this happens, you may be directed to contact the hotel sooner. This timing is determined by the hotel and is outside of Orchid Events' control.
How do I modify or cancel my reservation?
Until April 6, 2027, all changes and cancellations can be made through Manage Stay or by contacting Orchid Events using your confirmation details.
What is the cancellation policy?
Guests must cancel at least 72 hours prior to arrival date in order to avoid a 1-night room and tax charge.
What happens after April 6, 2027?
After April 6, 2027, all reservation changes and cancellations must be made directly with the hotel. Please refer to your confirmation for contact details.
Confirmations & Communication
When will I receive my confirmation?
You will receive an immediate confirmation email from Orchid Events upon completing your reservation.
Why doesn't the hotel have my reservation yet?
Reservations are transferred from Orchid Events to the hotel system. This process may take a few days. If you have received a confirmation number from Orchid Events, your reservation is secure and will be honored.
Should I call the hotel to confirm?
Please refrain from contacting the hotel "just to be sure" until after April 6, 2027, to allow time for reservation processing.
Room Details & Requests
Can I request a specific room type?
Yes, room type preferences (e.g., king or double) can be requested during booking but are not guaranteed.
Are special requests guaranteed?
Requests such as high floor, proximity to elevators, or views are noted but fulfilled based on hotel availability.
Are accessible rooms available?
Yes, accessible (ADA) rooms are available and can be requested during the booking process. Please be sure to check off the "ADA Room Required" box and provide detailed information in the Special Request field about your needs — for example, require a roll-in shower, grab bars, or a room for the hearing impaired.
Location & Logistics
Where is the hotel located?
All of the hotels are conveniently located near the Kansas City Convention Center and are within walking distance. Additional details, including maps and transportation options, are available on the event website.
Is transportation provided?
The Salvation Army is not providing transportation.
What about parking?
Parking availability and rates are determined by the hotel and will be provided on the booking site or directly by the hotel. Rates are subject to change.
Additional Information
Can I book multiple rooms?
Yes. You may book up to nine (9) rooms directly through the online booking site. Requests for ten (10) or more rooms are considered group bookings and require approval from The Salvation Army. Click here for the group booking form.
